Achieve Big Logo.png

Dreaming of
something big?
You’ve come to
the right place.

Let’s bring back the joy of dreaming and achieving goals.

Our events are developed to help you work, grow, and succeed.

We will inspire you to dream big, re-fuel your passions, surround yourself with others who want to accomplish more, and cultivate your skills into big achievements. Surround yourself with other like-minded authentic leaders who know the priority of leadership learning.

Take this time to meet new friends, learn new leadership strategies, and get to work implementing the tools that will help you grow your campus, organization, or personal self. Leave re-energized with a clear leadership plan and road-map, leadership-fulfilled, and the knowledge that you are far more capable than you know.

Join us at one of our Regional Leadership Summits, or at our Annual National Leadership Summit to help you ACHIEVE BIG in 2019!

Get ready to rise to the highest dimensions of leadership with these Summit takeaways:

Achieving Big for Yourself

Create a vision for yourself for the short-term or long-term future. When you create a clear picture of where you are going and set clear goals, you become more positive, more motivated, and more determined to make it a reality.

Helping Others Achieve Big

Do you envision helping others achieve their goals? Maybe it is through a product or service; maybe it is through motivation or messaging to the masses. Helping people achieve what they need to live their own dreams takes talent, risk, and a crafty plan.

Achieving as an Advisor

Being an Advisor of an NSLS Chapter takes skill, talent, and fortitude. Helping others to achieve their goals while also focusing on your own goals requires tools, resources, and support from NSLS.

We offer a unique summit experience for leaders who are balancing the demands of their busy lives, their social worlds, and their own personal fulfillment.

Who should attend?

We are a great match if you are currently engaged in an NSLS Chapter or a member of NSLS looking to learn strategies to grow in leadership. If you resonate with any of these statements below, you belong at an NSLS Summit:

  • I want to learn how to be more effective, so I can create more.

  • I want to discover my core purpose and use it with confidence in my work.

  • I want a learning experience that will give me leadership tools and wisdom AND help me implement it before I get home.

  • I want to find new ways to bring purpose to my life.

  • I want to find balance between my professional and personal lives. 3am bedtimes happen all too often.

  • I want to figure out how to run a financially sound business.

  • I want to know how to communicate powerfully online with all the options out there.

  • I am excited about a unique setting to meet new people and share a powerful experience.

How will an NSLS event change my life?

Our events are developed to help you work, grow, and succeed. We provide a unique experience that accelerates your life through a creative, innovative, and active learning adventure. Achieve Big is what we are all about and we help you dream a bigger life and help you achieve your goals within our inspired community. Using the information, encouragement and community from our Summits, you will go out to build your successful life while staying devoted to your purpose.

  • You will walk away with a community of lifelong friends and mentors who wholeheartedly believe in you and are cheering you on.

  • You will have clarity on how to move your life forward in a way that is full of success and balance.

  • You will feel energized, refreshed and motivated to dream big and apply everything that you learned.

  • You will have actionable tips, tools and resources to use in all aspects of your life.

  • You will have moved your life forward during our workshop-style implementation sessions where you can ask all of your questions and get one-on-one support.

Here’s what you can expect…

Within a unique setting, we highly value connection, celebration of learning, and fun. You can expect a group of experienced speakers who are excited to share tools and tips to see you succeed. You can expect the opportunity to DREAM BIG together and celebrate. You can expect an intimate atmosphere to not only to learn, but also to make amazing friends. You can expect time take out your laptop and get to work. More than anything, you can be ready for a highly professional retreat full of integrity, details, and action that will leave a notable impact on your life and future.

noun_Check Mark_250245_ae0000.png

Never been to an event? Or perhaps you’re a seasoned Summit goer? No problemo! These events are open to leaders of all levels, from beginners to pros. There’s always more to learn! This will be a safe haven for you to express yourself, learn from each other, and dream together.

When you walk into our events, you’ll leave with new friends and connections. Our team-based learning is tailored to include everyone, make the event less intimidating, encourage the growth and empowerment of every attendee, and to help you have the most fun possible.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a group of friends to tag along with you! You’re going to come into a room full of people that you’ll connect with and leave with friends that will become a part of your tribe.

noun_Circulation_1849049_ae0000.png

Whether you grab a few of your leader friends or come alone to meet new besties, you will enjoy the sense of community and networking we have in store at the event. You will be surrounded by others who want the same thing as you – to level up their professional lives and create a kick-butt community that will cheer them on all year long.

noun_speaking_1970170_ae0000.png

Not only will you be making new friends at your table, but you will also find ample opportunity to network in person with some of our expert speakers and amazing facilitators. Our intimate setting allows one-on-one time with speakers to ask questions and opportunities to pitch on the spot and hand out your business card.

noun_Rocket_705451_ae0000.jpg

Whether you are quietly hanging out in our community group on Facebook or actively engaging with other leaders, this conference will bring you from virtual friends to real-life friends! We believe in building a tribe to propel you to the next level in your life.

Since our Retreats have launched, we have helped over 5,000 leaders unify and unite together to share best practices, build community, and engage in leadership learning.

What should I expect at an NSLS event?

Located on NSLS host school campuses, we have chosen four cities for our events that offer fun settings, nearby lodging and a host of on-site activities and nearby excursions. Next to babbling streams or the urban bustle, we provide a unique experience that is as uncomplicated as possible! Simply arrive in the city and we take care of the rest.

When you arrive, we’ll greet you with a warm welcome to the gorgeous venue where you will meet your new friends and then head over to the welcome area, where we’ll all get to know each other more and talk about all the fun we’ll have together for the next few days.

The two days will be filled with morning keynotes, breakout & implementation sessions, with a few creative and small group opportunities sprinkled in as well.

Each night, we’ll toast to another day together over an activity or meal before we engage in fun activities. On our last morning, we’ll gather once more after a delicious breakfast before we say our goodbyes. Our schedule is full intentionally, and somehow our attendees still never want to leave! Specialty creative “hands-on” sessions designed to enrich your creative brain, too! It’s like a grownup summer camp! Opportunity for close conversations with speakers and other attendees through planned special topic ‘tribe’ gatherings, ‘fire-side’ chats and panel sessions.

What do previous attendees have to say?

"I really enjoyed the keynote speakers. I feel as though they were all engaging and motivating. Hearing true stories, struggles, and advice from them was very beneficial."

- Madison Galbraith, Duquesne University

"The ideas conveyed by the leaders throughout the sessions. The energy from the students, speakers, facilitators was inspirational. I learned something from each session and each discussion within our groups. Community service projects demonstrated how seemingly small activities can influence communities and have a lasting impact."

- Janice Gravely, Walden University

"The information/stories from the keynote speakers were easy to relate to and understand. They were very entertaining yet informational. It was easy to find key takeaways and ideas on what we can do as individuals and a society. Our group really enjoyed these and the networking events to learn more about other chapters and what they do."

- Danielle Smith, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

"I have been really encouraged and inspired to have hard conversations and to really dig into difficult topics with my peers back on campus, especially in my chapter."

- Aditi Prabhu, Stony Brook University

"I learned a lot about our focus on our passions. Shaking up our goals and putting it into action. All of the guest speakers were amazing. I gathered so much information from each of them."

- Deidre Moss, University of the Bahamas

+ Is lodging included in the registration fee?

Lodging is not included. But here’s the great news—we’ve partnered with local hotels to get you a special discounted rate. Please review the “Details” section for more information on local accommodations.

+ How should I go about making arrangements to get to the event?

We recommend reviewing online travel services for the best options. If you have additional questions, we’re here to help with suggested routes and travel itineraries. We encourage you to carpool or use public transportation wherever possible.

+ When is the last day I can register?

The deadline is two weeks before the Leadership Summit. Seats fill up fast on a first-come, first-serve basis. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. If you wait until the deadline, it is likely you will be waitlisted.

+ When will I receive final event information?

You should expect to receive final event information by email at least one week before your selected Leadership Summit. This email will provide final location information, dress code, travel recommendations, and more. If you have any questions, please contact events@nsls.org.

+ I can no longer attend. Is my registration transferrable? What is the cancellation and refund policy?

We’re sorry you need to miss out on such a life-transformative event. But we know that sometimes, “life happens.” You can transfer your registration to another NSLS Member or Chapter Leader, or you can cancel for a refund as long as you let us know no later than 14 days before the event.

Unfortunately, no refunds can be given less than 14 days before the event. To cancel within the cancellation period, email us at events@nsls.org and include the name of the person(s) cancelling, school name, event date, and phone number.

+ What is the dress code?

Business casual attire is recommended.

+ Is there anything that I need to bring with me to the event?

Your Leadership Summit registration includes meals (two breakfasts, two lunches, two coffee breaks/snacks), workshop materials, and training sessions. You do not need to bring anything additional beyond lots of energy, ideas to share, and a willingness to learn. An optional item to bring is business cards, so you can maximize networking opportunities.
