Christopher Bishop is fascinated by the power of emerging technologies to deliver positive transformation at the intersection of business and culture.
Chris worked in the entertainment business for over 20 years performing in various touring rock bands as well as composing music for radio and TV commercials. He then spent 15 years at IBM in a variety of roles, working initially as a Web producer and business strategy consultant, then shifting into an executive communications role at Corporate Headquarters driving social media adoption and the use of virtual worlds.
Based on how he moved through these disparate roles, Chris has codified his path into a workshop titled “How to Succeed at Jobs that Don’t Exist Yet” featuring his Future Career Toolkit – VOICE, ANTENNA and MESH. He has shared this perspective at various academic institutions including Baruch, Columbia, Duke, Queens College, Stern School of Business at NYU, Texas A&M and Union College.
Chris is the poster child for how today’s learners will be living and working in the 21st century’s global borderless economy. He is passionate about helping students understand how to be successful in this new paradigm.
